The Baby Triple Trap Deep takes the triangular, fast floating body style of our larger deep-diving model, and shrinks it down to a bite-sized package that will excel whether you’re looking to fill out a limit or add a kicker. This small package gets down to a remarkable 8 feet deep and tracks true when burned through cover, attracting bass that stay pinned to beefed-up hardware, albeit in a smaller size. Just like big brother and the shallower diving version, it runs just like a crawfish, tight to the bottom, and thanks to its square bill it deflects like crazy, which makes it exceptional for riprap. It dives down to 8 feet deep and is “weaponized” with #6 trebles.
While the Baby Triple Trap Deep works year-round when bass get pressured or skittish, it’s a true “Carolina Killer,” with the precision tuning that region’s cranking heritage demands. The unique vibration triggers bites when fish are in a neutral mood, or exceptionally tight to cover, and because of its exceptional buoyancy it’s our “go-to” whenever we’re cranking the ends of boat ramps, riprap and other rock cover that’s a little bit out of reach of its shallower-diving counterpart.
The Baby Triple Trap comes in Standard and Deep models, so you can offer up the same productive body style and action in two distinct depth ranges as the bite changes throughout the day. Because they’re made of dense Marupá Pedra wood from the Brazilian rainforest, they’re substantially more castable than other lures in their category.
As with all Water Wood crankbaits, each Baby Triple Trap is water-tested, tuned and completely inspected before being put in the hands of serious anglers. No matter how many times or how hard you bang them off of riprap, they’ll require minimal tuning thanks to the premium components, which means more time in the strike zone.
